About Calywire
What is Calywire?
Calywire Inc. is a U.S.-based full-stack digital marketing agency. We help proven consumer brands from Korea and Japan enter the United States and grow into lasting businesses. One team runs the entire funnel, from Amazon listings and paid media to influencer, video, email, and DTC e-commerce, with creative produced in our own studio. Founded in 2014, we work as a brand partner, not an ad vendor.
How long has Calywire been in business?
Calywire was founded in 2014. Over the past decade we have built relationships that last, partnering with brands like KEWPIE, Sugimoto Tea, and Paldo for more than ten years. That kind of tenure is uncommon in marketing, and it is the clearest proof we can offer that the work performs.
Where is Calywire located?
Our U.S. headquarters is in the Los Angeles area, at 438 Amapola Ave., Ste 220, Torrance, CA 90501, with team members across the United States. We also keep a Seoul office in Gangnam (Dosan-daero 210), which gives brands a local point of contact in their own time zone and language. You can reach us anytime at info@calywire.com.
What makes Calywire different from other agencies?
Three things. We run the full funnel under one roof, so the team writing your Amazon listing also shapes the social hook, the email flow, and the video behind them. We produce creative in our own studio instead of outsourcing it. And much of our team grew up in the U.S. as bilingual Asian Americans, so we localize for the American buyer instead of translating. The result is a brand partner that thinks about your business, not an agency that rents you ad space.
Who we work with
What kind of brands does Calywire work with?
We focus on consumer brands from Korea and Japan entering the United States. We started in K-Food and K-Beauty and have since expanded into consumer electronics, health, media, sports, and technology. Brands such as KEWPIE, Sapporo Ichiban, Paldo, Sugimoto Tea, Glampalm, and Leaders have trusted us, several of them for more than ten years.
Do you only work with Korean and Japanese brands?
Korean and Japanese brands are our focus and most of our work, but they are not a hard rule. We also take on other Asian consumer brands when the fit is right. What matters more than the country of origin is a product with proven traction at home and a real commitment to building in the U.S.
What size or stage of brand is the right fit?
We work best with brands that already have traction in their home market and at least one product line ready for a U.S. shelf, whether that means a first Amazon listing or an existing U.S. presence that stalled. We are less of a fit for idea-stage companies that have not yet proven a product.
Why is the U.S. market so challenging for Asian brands?
The United States is not one uniform market. It is often described as roughly eleven distinct regional cultures, each with its own tastes, buying habits, and values, so selling across America is closer to marketing in several countries at once. A product that moves easily between Asian markets can stall in the U.S. without local adaptation. The brands that win adjust to American buyers while keeping their authentic identity intact.
Channels & services
What marketing services does Calywire offer?
We provide a full range of services, matched to each brand’s goals and budget:
Does Calywire manage Amazon for Korean and Japanese brands?
Yes. Amazon is usually the first place American shoppers meet a new brand, so we treat it as a core channel. We handle Seller Central setup, Brand Registry, listing optimization written for U.S. search behavior (not translated), A+ Content and Brand Store, advertising across Sponsored Products, Brands, and Display, FBA logistics, review strategy, and reporting. Because our U.S. team works on U.S. time, day-to-day issues get same-day attention.
Does Calywire handle TikTok Shop and short-form video?
Yes. Short-form video and TikTok Shop are now where many American shoppers first discover an Asian brand, so we treat them as core channels. We handle organic content, creator and affiliate partnerships, paid amplification, and TikTok Shop setup and operations, with the video produced in our own studio and built for U.S. viewers rather than reused from the home market.
Can you support FDA and labeling compliance for food and cosmetics?
We are not a law firm, but we work in regulated categories every day and know how the FDA and U.S. cosmetic rules, including MoCRA, shape what you can say and show. We help with compliant claims, listing language, and packaging copy, and we coordinate with your regulatory resources so nothing on a U.S. listing creates a problem down the line.
How we work
How does Calywire help Asian brands succeed in the U.S.?
We run the full funnel under one roof, so the team that writes an Amazon listing also shapes the social hook, the email flow, and the video that support it. Our creative studio produces what we shoot in-house, often live the same week. Because many of us grew up in the U.S. as bilingual Asian Americans, we localize for the American buyer instead of translating, and we report back to headquarters in Korean.
Does Calywire report in Korean?
Yes. Korean-language reporting is our default. A Korean-speaking strategist handles the account directly, so headquarters hears from the people actually doing the work, with no second-hand translation. Since morning in the U.S. is the next day in Seoul, decisions and reports move on the same business day instead of waiting on a time-zone gap.
How do you measure success and report performance?
We tie reporting to the goals we set with you at the start, usually revenue, marketplace rank and share, ROAS or TACOS on paid media (total ad spend divided by total sales), and repeat-purchase rate for retention. Reporting is in Korean by default, and you hear from the strategist running the account, not a separate account manager reading numbers second-hand.
Getting started
How much does it cost to work with Calywire?
Every engagement is scoped to your goals and the channels you actually need, so there is no single price list. Most brands work with us on a monthly retainer, sometimes with added project work for a launch or a video shoot. The first step is a complimentary consultation, where we map out a plan and a budget that fit your stage rather than quoting a number before we understand the brand.
How do I start working with Calywire?
Start with a complimentary initial consultation. Tell us about your brand and your U.S. goals through the form below or at info@calywire.com, and a senior member of the team will follow up to map out a plan. Whether you are launching in the U.S. for the first time or restarting a launch that stalled, we will tell you honestly what it takes.
