Services/Packaging & Print Design

Packaging built for the
American shelf.

A package that sells in Seoul or Tokyo rarely lands the same way in a U.S. aisle or a 500-pixel search result. We adapt your packaging and print for the American buyer, build the production files your printer needs, and coordinate U.S. labeling so your product is ready to ship and ready to sell.

Consumer product packaging and printed cartons laid out for the U.S. retail shelf
01 The shift

Your packaging has to do two jobs at once in the U.S.

On a physical shelf, an American shopper reads front-of-pack in a second or two and expects the main claim in plain English. On Amazon, that same design is judged as a small thumbnail next to a dozen competitors, where dense Korean or Japanese type and busy artwork turn into noise. The structure that worked at home, the panel layout, the claim hierarchy, the color contrast, often needs real adaptation before it earns a click or a pickup.

Behind the design sits a second job. U.S. labeling has its own rules for net contents, ingredient and allergen declarations, Nutrition Facts and Supplement Facts panels, and cosmetic labeling under MoCRA, including the responsible-person and adverse-event contact now expected on the pack. We design for the buyer and the platform, build clean print-production files, and coordinate the regulatory side with your team so nothing stalls at the printer or at the border.

02 What's included

Packaging and print, end to end

01

Shelf and Amazon adaptation

We redraw front-of-pack so the hero claim reads in English first and the design holds up at thumbnail size. That means stronger contrast, a clear claim hierarchy, simplified artwork, and panels arranged the way U.S. shoppers and Amazon listings expect, without losing the brand equity you built at home.

02

Structural and graphic design

Cartons, pouches, bottles, labels, sleeves, and folding boxes. We handle both the structure and the surface graphics, balancing how the package looks on screen, how it feels in hand, and how it survives shipping to a U.S. doorstep.

03

Dielines and print-production files

Press-ready artwork your printer can run without back-and-forth: accurate dielines, bleed and safe zones, spot and process color separations, varnish and foil layers, and barcodes that scan. We can work to your existing supplier's specs or help you brief a new one.

04

U.S. labeling support

We lay out FDA Nutrition Facts and Supplement Facts panels, net contents, ingredient and allergen statements, and cosmetic and MoCRA label elements to current U.S. format. We coordinate this with your regulatory resources and confirm the copy with you. This is design and coordination support, not legal advice.

05

Amazon-ready and sustainable packaging

We design toward Amazon's packaging tiers, Prep-Free, Ships in Own Container, and Frustration-Free, including the curbside-recyclable materials and easy-open standards those certifications call for, and we can spec sustainable substrates that fit your category and budget.

06

Unboxing, inserts, and photo-ready packaging

Mailer and insert design, thank-you cards, and onboarding leaflets that make the first open feel intentional. We also build packaging that photographs cleanly, so the same design carries straight into your listing images, ads, and social content.

A package is the first ad most American buyers ever see for your brand. We treat it like media, not decoration, and design it to win the shelf, the search result, and the unbox.

The Calywire approach
03 How we approach it

From your current pack to a U.S. press file

Step 01

Audit and intake

We review your current packaging, category, target shopper, and sales channels, then flag what carries over to the U.S. and what needs to change for the shelf, for Amazon, and for compliance.

Step 02

Adapt and design

Our LA creative studio reworks structure, layout, claims, and artwork for the American buyer, presenting clear directions you can react to rather than abstract options.

Step 03

Label and validate

We build the required U.S. label panels, coordinate every regulatory element with your team and resources, and pressure-test the design at real shelf and thumbnail size before anything goes to print.

Step 04

Production files and handoff

We deliver final dielines and press-ready files, work through any printer queries, and hand off photo-ready assets so your packaging flows straight into listings, ads, and content.
