These guidelines describe how we research, write, review, and update the content you read on calywire.com and on any property operated by Calywire Inc.
Independence and Editorial Integrity
Our editorial decisions are made independently of our commercial relationships.
- Our recommendations are not for sale. No advertiser, affiliate partner, agency client, or other commercial relationship can purchase a favorable review, ranking, or recommendation. Research and Sourcing Standards
Every piece of substantive content on our properties is built on verifiable research.
- Primary sources are preferred. Where possible, we link to official product documentation, primary research, government data, peer-reviewed studies, or first-party publisher statements rather than second-hand summaries.
- Numeric claims are cited. Statistics, pricing, market sizing, and other quantitative claims are supported by a citation within close proximity to the claim, with the source date noted when material.
- Hands-on evaluation where applicable. For product and software reviews, our reviewers test the product directly when feasible, and disclose when their evaluation is based on demos, documentation review, or aggregated user feedback rather than direct use.
- Cross-verification. Material claims are cross-checked against at least one additional independent source before publication.
Authorship and Expertise
- Named authorship. Every editorial article is attributed to a named author whose background and relevant expertise are documented on our author pages.
- Editorial review. Drafts pass through an editorial review process that includes fact-checking, link verification, and editorial quality scoring before publication.
- Updates and corrections. When we update an article materially after publication, we note the update date. When we correct a factual error, we describe what was corrected and when.
Accuracy, Updates, and Corrections
